A great achievement for Global Resilience, G20 Ministers have adopted the 2025 G20 Ministerial Declaration on Disaster Risk Reduction on the eve of the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction. It has been a privilege for the Center for Urban Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience (CUDRR+R) to be a Knowledge Partner of the G20 Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Working Group (WG) and contribute to Priorities 3 and 5.
As the Center celebrates this achievement, we would like to congratulate all G20 member states as parties to this important Declaration, the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) for their leadership as the Secretariat of the G20 DRR WG, and other Knowledge Partners of the G20 DRR WG, including the Center’s partners International Recovery Platform (IRP), Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) and SEEDS.
