Local Government Powers for Disaster Risk Reduction: A Study on Local Level Authority and Capacity for Resilience, is the first study to try to attempt to understand the level of authority, capacity, and responsibilities local governments have to undertake DRR actions, in particular the 10 Essentials for Making Cities Resilient.

CUDRR+R tasked by UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction undertook this project together with the participation of over 100 Campaign Cities and UNISDR Regional Offices.
