CUDRR+R is part of an expert team working on the revision of the New Ten Essentials for Making Cities Resilient of UNISDR’s Making Cities Resilient Campaign.
The proposed New “Ten Essentials” build upon the previous Ten Essentials, being interlinked with priorities for action of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, and representing a transition to a stage of implementation.
The New Ten Essentials offers a comprehensive approach with the intention to enable cities establish a baseline measurement of their current level of disaster resilience, to identify priorities for investment and action, and to track their progress in improving their disaster resilience over time.
